ITC supports Richer Sounds in their expansion
--Richer Sounds, the largest retailer of hi-fi and home cinema equipment in the UK, have required further expansion to their London HQ network in response to business growth, despite the economical downturn.
This network expansion follows last year’s IT overhaul for Richer Sounds, where ITC installed new LAN infrastructure throughout their 49 UK retail outlets, enabling WAN connectivity to their London Head Quarters.
To support proposed centralised retail banking, a Category 6 cabling solution was also installed at Richer Sound HQ replacing the old Cat5 infrastructure - a system that was already unable to meet demands of their sales and media users. The expected IT expansion, which was a major consideration at the design stage, was soon put to the test this year, as Dave Bonney, RCDD, ITC comments “The movement and expansion of key business units within the building was smooth and quick, with almost minimal disruption to operations. Exactly as planed a year ago!”.
“ITC’s foresight and knowledge in network design has proved it’s worth, removing the pain out of frequent moves, adds and changes”, comments Michael Stafford, IT Manager, Richer Sounds.
Having worked closely with Denton Associates, the Design & Build company
managing Hyundai’s relocation, the installation was completed within stringent
timescales of 6 days, and is supported by a 25-year Warranty to give HMM complete lifetime quality assurance.
